Here was the reason given about why this person voted No on prop 37:
“I did, for one (and obviously millions of others). Why? I would love to see a reasonable change to labeling that requires GMO ingredients identified as such, but this legislation was not it. This bill was awful and would not have accomplished a useful change in labeling. Yes, it is actually reasonable to assume most foods in this country contain at least one GMO ingredient. That does not automatically make the food unhealthy or unsafe in any way. I hope we can get legislation that would allow people to make an informed choice, rather than this one that would have required a label on just about everything, with no indication of what ingredient(s) was GMO.”

Now this person also claims they did not see any ads about No on Prop 37 “I didn’t watch any ads, my opinion is based on reading the text of the proposition. I felt it was horribly flawed and had provisions making it really hard to fix.” Was this person well informed or did they not understand the language of the bill? Thoughts?

DAVID,
PEOPLE THAT I KNOW WHO VOTED EARLY SAID THEY VOTED NO ON PROP 37. I WAS SHOCKED THEN I READ THE BALLET AND REALIZED THE WORDING WAS TOO SCARY FOR THEM. WHY DOES IT COST A MILLION DOLLARS? THIS FREAKS PEOPLE OUT LIKE RIGHT AWAY. WE HAVE NOT LOST ANYTHING. ALL WE NEED TO TO DO IS KEEP EXPOSING EVIL FOR WHAT IT REALLY IS. AND THAT’S IT. IT IS NOT DIFICULT TO FIGHT EVIL WE DO NOT HAVE TO. THEY AUTOMATICALLY DESTROY THEMSELVES. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS EXPOSE THEIR SECRETS MORE AND MORE. NO MORE PATENTS, NO MORE BUILDING BUNKERS, COLLECTING SEEDS, PLAYING FOOTSIE WITH THE GOVERNMENT, FDA, AND LOBBYISTS. YOU ARE RIGHT ON. WE WILL NOT STOP.

Louise, I don’t know what happened last night other than, many people were either duped into believing the lies that Monsanto & other companies paid millions to put out there or, possible some people just didn’t know what 37 was and hurried to get through the ballot and just punched whatever.

What I think we need to do now is form an online campaign to somehow educate people (and it’s going to cost more money) by identifying EVER food that has GMO in it and listing them on a website of “foods to avoid”. If we can reduce their sales, it will affect their revenues.

Another path is to petition the retailers that are selling them such as Whole Foods (which supposedly prides themselves on organic foods) and list them as well as a “violater”.

Lastly, if you have the ability to become independent from these treacherous foods by growing your own vegetables, there are safe and organic seeds available, although, not inexpensively.

This is a sad day for many of us. I was certain that 37 would pass by a good margin but it’s difficult to fight true evil that has the resources.

What about the bunkers that Monsanto has? They have been storing seeds from all over the world since 2008. What are they about to do? Why do they have patents on what God and only God has created? This has gone way too far already. We the people have to stop this outrage now before the chemical companies kill us all with their poisen. Do we want evil chemical companys to be in charge of our food supply? If we let them own the food supply they will own the world and we will have only their engineered chemicals to eat. REAL FOOD FROM GODS CREATION WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST. ALL IT TAKES FOR EVIL TO PREVAIL IS FOR GOOD PEOPLE TO DO NOTHING. COME ON GOOD PEOPLE DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. DO NOT LET THEM SEND US TO THE GAS CHAMBERS WHILE WE PLAY DUMB. WE HAVE JUST BEGUN.

Good point Marilyn..Free Trade needs to be Fair Trade….not a means to take advantage of the lax laws of unsuspecting nations and use them as a dumping ground for unsafe, banned and / or poorly tested products.

I am just crossing my fingers for you in CA …we all are….that this sets a precedent. Wishing you lots of success.

David, Max is correct in blaming the U.S. government for letting MonSatan and their ilk dictate our food policies, but Australia is also at fault if they allow unlabeled food to enter the country.

Max, the U.S. government demands “free trade” not “fair trade.” There is a big difference. The former puts the power and the profits into the hands of the corporations. Fair trade empowers living human beings and allows them to enjoy the benefits of their labor while acting as stewards for the environment.

We in California have worked so hard, first to get this initiative on the ballot (at which time MonSatan began the assault) and next to get it passed into law. I have been praying that Californians will see through the lies that have been saturating the airwaves.

Please, world: pray, meditate, send spiritual thoughts—-whatever you do to effect positive outcomes in your life. We are all in this battle together…

Well how much truth is in this?
http://www.whiteoutpress.com/articles/q42012/mitt-romney-and-monsanto-35-years-of-mutual-help/
It says that Mitt Romney was the one responsible for changing Monsanto from a chemical based company to a “Agricultural” based company. He worked with Monsanto to change their image after nearly going bankrupt due to all the money they had to pay out due to dumping, agent orange and lots of other issues.

Thank you for your video and all of the work you have put in to date. We appreciate your hardworking staff and volunteers!

All this time I thought you were missing out on a big audience on Google Plus, and finally found your page under “California” not “CA.” I have been sharing your information here: http://gplus.to/environmentalissuesimpact

To Max:

Please don’t blame the U.S…. as I stated, Monsanto, Dow and Bayer (based in Germany) are under the direct influence of the globalist elite. Americans have nothing to do with this even though Monsanto and Dow (both very evil corporations) are in the U.S.

These 2 corporations alone are responsible for the creation of GMO technologies ONLY because they are influenced by extremely wealthy and corrupt people that want to run the world….. a.k.a., New world Order.

This effects EVEyONE! I am in Australia and our food chain (and seed silos!) are being contaminated by USA imports. At least if they were labeled we could choose…GM soy/ maize from the USA gets put in nearly everything and they continue to be around telling us. GM soy products are causing thyroid issues and people should be able to choose. It’s an OUTRAGE that the USA doesn’t label. The demand ‘fair trade’ but never play fair.

@ Gail – Thanks for your Yes vote on Prop. 37. If we don’t pass this ‘bandaid’ law then it decisively shows that it will be impossible to pass an ‘amputation’ law.

I agree the vote should be “YES” but that is just a bandaid. Why aren’t we voting to “BAN GMO’s” and pesticides, like they have done in India and other countries.Watch the movie “THRIVE” on you tube, get educated!

Thank you Zack..The lives and livelihood of farmers, destruction of animals has been the path of genetically engineered crops worldwide, Monsanto to blame. We wash pesticides off produce, we cannot wash pesticides hidden in the produce. This is much bigger than our right to know what is in our food…its our future food supply.

This ROCKS!!! Exactly, precisely dead-on the message we should sending! Do it TODAY! It’s not too late. ANYONE who thinks, for one nano-second, that this issue is even remotely debatable, needs to pull their head out of their ass. Period. Thank you, thank you, Zack.

Nico, thank you for your comment, although I try to rovide support for this proposition, I do find the court pieces confusing. Your comment helps open up discussion on that aspect.

@ Nicole – Sorry, but maybe its you who is being untrustworthy, not disclosing all the facts re: litigation. There is a 30 day cooling off period before any lawsuit can be filed. And, at any point in time, if the problem is corrected, the lawsuit must be dropped. Not exactly an incentive for anyone to sue, let alone for trial lawyers.

As for waiting “until the scientific evidence is in about GE products and then proceed within the four corners of the peoples’ rights under the law,” I’m afraid you will be waiting until you turn to stone. As long as Monsanto holds the patent rights to the GM seeds, no independent scientific research can be conducted re: harm to human health, since Monsanto will not release the ‘parent’ seeds to the researchers. As for the rest of us, we will take matters into our own hands, vote YES on 37 tomorrow, and finally start knowing what is in our food – this IS what Prop. 37 is all about.

It really comes down to one question: What is more important: your right to know if your food has been genetically modified OR the chemical companies right to generate profits at the expense of your health through deceptive manipulation of the food supply? I hope you’ll vote fo your own right to know with a “yes” on 37.

PS: to Nicotine van Niekerk: at least i hope you are getting paid well to spread your MISinformation around. Please wake up!

There is in this entire universe probably no more loathsome, distasteful nor more thankless task than trying to pound common sense into the drooling masses of this country—-we never would have progressed this far down the old dirt road to oblivion had this not been the case for the past several decades——but this video clip is probably about the best that can possibly be done with what zero resources and little time is now left….the message was not too long nor too short nor too technical nor too vague. Probably about the best that anybody could have done.

Lori…sure can.

Start with www.prisonplanet.com
It gets you out of the mainstream media which is censored and controlled. From there, you will see and hear all of the sources and if you match that with what is happening now.

Other sources would be YouTube and just type in “Bilderberg”.

Another question should be is why have we let the companies get this far and why have we not held the government accountable for not living up to the oaths of office they swore to? Enough evidence exist to show the world that the system is crooked and does not care about the health of citizens. If the democratic process no longer favors the protection of the people than it is time to fight the companies directly. Millions of dollars can be spent in the legal system only to have it overthrown the supreme court who is also in bed with these corporations as we have seen on multiple occasions. If you think small America then expect small results. We are talking about the poisoning of the worlds food supply and we are sitting back letting it happen. Enough is enough. Prop 37 is in the right direction but it is not enough to label foods when the poor have very little alternatives and we are shipping GMOs all over the world and contaminating other countries who trust us in the name of fighting hunger. Soon they will be fighting hunger and even more diseases. Fight to end Bio-engineering and the right to patent any living cell.

This is exactly what we need: someone speaking from the heart, laying it on the line. Not the warm and abstract, but the concrete and to-the-point. Thanks much for doing this, Zack. If we don’t win this day after tomorrow, I hope you will be there to help us channel our anger constructively. We may lose the battle, but we can still win the war with leaders like Zack.
