Considering these No-to-labelling companies & organizations tend to be as well those who are deeply involved in pesticides, synthetic=pharmaceuticals, destruction of rain-forest & other disastrous public health measures, it is time to vote with our dollars everyday, everywhere. This step of organizing economically as well brings the responsibility to invest-in & construct or ‘Pro-cott’ the future ecological world which we wish to live in. We ALL deserve to know what is in our food to make informed decisions on our life and health. It’s a very basic right that has me so up in arms that I have banned all companies that are not in support of this. Yes, I am no longer buying their products and telling everyone I know about this issue.

as consumers we deserve the right to know what is in our food .As an organic farmer we take great pride in preserving heirloom seed and using sustainable growing practices ,the goal is to leave the soil in better condition than when we started . GMO ’s should not be in our food or animal food and if they are MUST be labeled as such .GMO crops destroy biodiversity and leave the soil in poor condition , super weeds are created from the cycle of chemical dependency for the crops , this is not a long term solution to feed the world .

We wish to know if our food comes from nature or from a laboratory, and we prefer that which comes from nature by far.

Consumers need to know what’s in their food.

Label Monsanto, Dow, Bayer, Syngenta, BASF and Pioneer toxic food production! You should know what is poisoning you!

As a small market grower in Maine, we are very hopeful that Prop 37 will go through. If food will be labeled in CA, it will then have to be labeled in the whole country. California is fighting this good fight for the whole country and we thank you.

This falls under freedom of speech; the more we speak out the more positive change can take effect and this contributes to diseases and obeasity which is a growing epidemic that’s not getting better. Our society should not be run by who has the most money and what is more convenient; we do for a fact pay later!

This should be law period….as consumers we should denitely know if our foods are gmo…its a no brainer!!!

Please email a n y o n e you know in California and ask them to vote YES on Prop 37! Your motivation to help us is that if we can get this passed here, it’s reasonable to believe that there will be a positive ripple effect for labeling in your state, the way it is already in several countries.

Much in the same way we have a right to know if our clothes have been stitched together by children or by people who earn a living wage, how far our cars will get on a gallon of gas, or whether the stuff we use to clean our bathrooms will burn our skin, we have a right to know what’s in our food.

We’re only asking for the same basic labeling required by the European Union and even Russia and China! Additionally, since these foreign governments require such labeling, it helps our farmers be competitive and keep access to those markets if they segregate truly-natural food from Genetically Modified Organisms. GMOs are the number one health risk in the world today. The list of companies opposing Prop 37 is a who’s who of giant Bio-tech, multi-national food conglomerates, and phony front organizations for the afforementioned. The FDA and USDA leaders are shills for Monsanto, and have purchased our health from the government. The world is watching and depending on the people of California to strike the first blow in this war for our children’s lives.

Genetic engineering of food is an arbitrary, capricious, and naive manipulation of living, complex, and elegant natural systems. I consider it an ultimate act of hubris to think that we can casually “improve” living organisms according to our myopic, over-simplistic notions of convenience in the name of profit.

GMO’s are a part of a vast 2-dimensional ‘agriculture’ (Latin ‘ager’ = ‘field’) deficiency & violently self-imposed ignorance perpetuated in colonial societies for 6000 years. Humanity’s ‘indigenous’ (L = ‘self-generating’) ancestors cultivated the 3-D polyculture orchard with canopies & lower levels as vines, bushes, herbs, vegetables, greens, nuts, fruit, mushrooms etc across continental landscapes. Polyculture Orchards photosynthesize 92 – 98% of solar energy into massive abundance of food, material, water-cycle, energy etc. Biosphere energy cold spots attract warm-moist ocean winds inland. 60% of ocean to continent water transfer is through condensation on leaf surfaces. Agriculture field crops only photosynthesize between 2 – 8% of solar energy, reflecting over 90% back into the troposphere. Reflected solar energy pushes winds from the continent into the oceans thus creating desert conditions. Orchard tree roots descend as deep as the canopy pumping water, mining minerals & developing nutrient colonies tens of metres deep. Agriculture roots are only centimetres deep. Polyculture orchards are 100 times (10,000%) more productive of food, materials, energy, water-cycle & other essential ecological services than agriculture. Life on earth only exists because of the height & capacity of trees whose heights actually perfectly mirror earth’s distance & energy balance with the sun.
